Tax Records - Search Tips
Be
sure to include the street name suffix. You
should abbreviate the suffix as follows:
Street
- St, Drive - Dr, Lane - Ln, Avenue - Av, Road - Rd,
Blvd - Bv
Do
not use punctuation marks. If the street suffix
is unknown, you should use the % key, or "wildcard"
as shown below.
If
you do not know the exact street number, you may use
the % sign as a wildcard, which replaces
anything following the criteria you enter. If the %
key is used this could result in thousands of matches.
Example: Entering 100% will not bring
up all the addresses that are in the 100 block,
but will instead bring up all the addresses
that begin with 100, like 1000, 1001, 1006, 10000, etc.
The same wildcard will work for the street name. Example:
Pine% will bring up Pineland, Pinewood, etc. Caution
should be used to avoid a long search time. Enter as
much information as you know for a faster search.
If
there is more than one match, a list will be provided
from which to choose.
Some
street names are difficult to locate, therefore, the
necessary abbreviations are listed as follows:
